Please email entries@thegoat.co.nz to register your interest should additional entries come available.

Is there an age limit for The Goat and The Kid events? 
– Goat entrants must be 16yrs or older to enter. If you are under 16yrs old your parent/guardian will need to email entries@thegoat.co.nz and detail your running experience and give permission for a special dispensation to be considered.
– The Kid is open to 5-16yr olds.

Is there an option for event insurance to protect your entry should you have to withdraw?

What is a thermal/survival bag?
It is similar to an emergency blanket but bigger so you can put your whole body into it. CLICK HERE to see an example of one

Can I use running poles?
Yes. We just ask that you’re mindful of other runners when using them to not cause a trip hazard, especially in the narrow and technical parts of the course.

Who sells the compulsory gear we need? 
Any good outdoors retailer will have the gear you’re after and have informed staff to help you pick the right gear for you. But also, please consider supporting those that support us and check out Opus Fresh for all your thermal wear!

What start wave am I in?
For all ‘Goat’ entrants your srart waves will be allocated approx 5 days out from the event and you will be emailed a link to check your wave details. Once the waves have been published you can check your waves in to your EventPlus profile or by clicking here.

I need to change my start wave. How do I apply for a new wave?
If you need to request a wave change, please email us at info@thegoat.co.nz. All reasonable requests will be accommodated if there is space to do so in the wave you wish to move to.

How do I book a bus ticket?
If you require a bus ticket you can simply log in to your Event Plus profile, click on ‘Event Add Ons’, select which bus option you require, then ‘add to order’. Simply pay for your order and you’re all booked in!
