The 18th Goat Adventure Run registration is underway in Tongario National Park
Registration for the 18th Goat Adventure Run is underway at the Powderhorn Chateau in Ohakune with our staff and volunteers from Project Tongariro, Ohakune Primary School, and the Horopito Hall. Friday registration is a great vibe, with music from DJ Randal from 6pm, excitement from entrants, enthusiasm from staff, and products from our sponsors for sale.
Stocking Raidlight hydration, Fenix headlamps, Leki poles and accessories, and La Sportiva shoes, Mountain Adventure have your last-minute Goat supplies sorted.
Fellow sponsors, True Fleece Merino have samples of their Goat branded merchandise available for order (I have one of the shirts and it’s FANTASTIC, amazing quality), we also have Steigen socks available for purchase.
Steigen’s support has been amazing again in 2022, with each Goat entrant receiving free Goat branded socks (they won’t slip!) – so good!
As always, a mix of veteran Goats, as well as first-timers are expected at the start line tomorrow at the top of Bruce Road, Whakapapa. Starters depart in waves from 9am and spectators are welcome.
The first finisher is expected at the top of the Ohakune Mountain Road (Turoa) from around 10:30am. Spectators are welcome at the finish plaza, but to gain entry to the main event area you will need to provide your Vaccine Pass please.
